Privacy Policy
Creative Research Methods Ltd does not use cookies or any kind of user tracking mechanisms on its website.
Information solicited from users (for example, for bursary applications or event bookings) is never used for advertising or promotion, and is never shared with third parties other than as necessary to fulfil your wish to apply for a bursary or take up a place at an event. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more detail.
We store all information that you enter on the booking form. Your personal information is stored securely, and is never shared with or made available to any person or entity outside Creative Research Methods Ltd – the only exception to this is that we include your name and email address on the conference delegates list, but you can choose to opt out of being included on this list when you place your booking. Right of Erasure: You can request to have all your personal data permanently deleted from our systems at any time, as long as you have cancelled any pending conference booking. Please contact us by email if you would like us to remove your personal data from our records.

Terms & Conditions
Our contact email address for comments, complaints, and compliments is provided in our contact details.
Conference / Event Bookings: A place at one of our events is secured by booking and payment. Bookings must be made via this website, and payment can be by card or by bank transfer. We cannot accept cheque payments.
When you place a booking for our conference, we automatically issue an invoice, which includes details of how to make a payment. Payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date. All bookings must be paid for in full before the first day of the event.
Late Payment: if a 30-day invoice is not paid within 60 days, we will cancel the booking and issue a credit note, and the place at the event will no longer be reserved for you. It is your responsibility to ensure that the invoice for your booking is paid within this time frame.
If your booking is not paid for in full before the first day of the event, your ability to attend is at risk.
Cancellation: If you place a booking through this website and then wish to cancel your booking, we will give you a full refund of your delegate fee as long as you notify us by email or by post at least 21 days before the event begins.
You may also transfer your booking to another person, as long as you contact us by email and give us full details of the other person (including an email address, and any dietary requirements or food allergies) at least 21 days before the event begins.
If you cancel your booking less than 21 days before the event begins, we will try to re-sell your ticket to another delegate – and if we succeed, you will receive a refund of the value at which the ticket was resold, or for the value of your original fee, whichever is the lower value. Please note that because we have a tiered pricing system, we may re-sell your ticket at a lower value than you originally paid for it.

We work to keep prices as low as possible while making the events financially viable.
Are your prices negotiable?
No.
Can you invoice my organisation for payment?
Yes – when you place a booking, you will be offered the option for the invoice to be made out to your organisation. Please note our terms and conditions relating to late payment – if your organisation fails to pay the invoice in a timely fashion, your booking may be cancelled.
Can I book Helen Kara to speak at or run an event at my organisation?
Yes, subject to her availability; she is usually booked up several months ahead. Please send us an email saying what you want and when, and someone will get back to you, usually within five working days.

Our second conference in 2024 saw us live-streaming two different rooms, and Keynotes from Dawn Mannay and Su-ming Khoo. We even had our own on-site Plenary Poet, Kate Fox. Click the links below to see recordings of the two Keynote sessions, and of Kate's poem.
Our inaugural conference in 2023 was a great success, with four different venues running different presentations, and the main room live-streamed over the internet. There were Keynotes from Pam Burnard and Caroline Lenette:
